Nearly competition time

Hi everyone,

I hope you're having a lovely friday evening. Tonight is the first night in ages I've been without the boyfriend, he's gone to meet some friends, I've got my two cousins here, who I've been babysitting, they're 3 and 10, but now they've gone to bed I don't really know what to do with myself!

I thought I'd do a tiny little post, just to say that I now have 98 followers, which is great. So thank you all for following, it means a lot to me. And to say thanks, once I reach 100, I will be having a competition. I've planned all the prizes, and I'm really excited about it. So come on, just two more people need to follow me and then you can have a chance of winning some prizes.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Birthday Wishlist

I've just been drooling over some stuff online (mainly MAC eyeshadows), but I'm pretty broke now, and I don't get paid until the 26th :(

However, I thought it'd be fun to make a wishlist, and as it's my birthday at the beginning of next month.

So here's some things that right now I'm dreaming of...

MAC eyeshadows:
  • Style Snob from the Love That Look collection
  • Beauty Marked
  • Carbon
  • Romp
  • Amber Lights
  • Expensive Pink
  • All That Glitters
  • Cranberry
  • Idol Eyes
  • Trax
  • Mythology
  • Black Tied
  • Star Violet
  • Falling Star
  • Deep Truth
  • Crystal
  • Tilt
  • Freshwater
  • Then of course I'll need a 15 slot palette to put them in.
  • This bag I love, love, love this bag, I saw it in the shop today.
  • This purse
  • These boots
  • This dress
I think that's about it for now, I'm sure I'll find many other things to lust over in the coming weeks.

*sigh* Oh, to be rich.

I went shopping...again.

Hey ladies,

Yes as the title says, I went shopping today, and I got quite a bit.

H&M::

Black & Grey scarf. I love H&M scarves, they do such lovely ones for just £9.99 I got a gorgeous scarf there last year too, which was cream and gold. Love them! I'm actually looking forward to winter, just for the fashion, when we can start layering up with nice scarves and cardis :)

Purple basic cap sleeve dress, can be worn now, or even throughout winter with thick black tights.

 I saw these shorts and I had to have them, they are SO cute! I can't wait to go on holiday and wear these :)

Two vest dresses and a pair of ankle length leggings for winter as I only own 3/4 length ones.

1920's Charleston style dress. This dress is really unusual, and more expensive than the usual H&M clothing, but It's lovely so I bought it anyway.

WAREHOUSE::

Scull and crossbones oversized vest, striped boob tube dress & purple vest dress.

NEXT::

Wet look long vest.

Black/blue/grey hidden platform shoes.

MARKS & SPENCERS::

Jewellery box with several compartments, perfect for all my cocktail rings :)

PRIMARK::

Lastly, I took a dress back to Primark, and got some accessories instead. Two sets of disc earrings the black and gold pair were £2, and the gold pair were £1. Both cocktail rings were £2 and the blue pearl set was £3.

I haven't really put any of the prices of the clothes, but if you would like me to in future, or want to know how much anything was, feel free to drop me a comment.

SplashMacs in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust

Hi guys,

I was sent over a press release for one of their current campaigns, so here's a little background for you..

 MandMDirect.com is excited to introduce its 2009 limited edition Designer Splashmac collection in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. The collection will feature exclusive designs from top fashion designers Christopher Kane, PPQ, Sienna and Savannah Miller’s label Twenty8Twelve and hot new fashion favourite James Long.  Jade Jagger, Jodie Harsh, Daniel Merriweather, amongst other celebrities, are doing their part of supporting the charity by modelling the Splashmacs in the campaign.

The exciting colour ways of the range mean you will stay on-trend during the festival season, the lightweight design means you can prepare for the typical British Summer in style and pack the mac just in case!

Each Designer Splashmac is one size and costs £9.99 available from MandMDirect.com. All proceeds from the sale of each Designer Splashmac will go to Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity  that MandMDirect.com has been supporting for over four years. In that time, the brand has raised more than £489,000 for this fantastic charity that helps young people fight cancer.

Every day in the UK six young people are told they have cancer. At a time when your body is changing, your social life is everything and you’re still trying to figure out who you are, getting cancer can seem like an impossible blow to take. But thanks to Teenage Cancer Trust, thousands of teenagers are taking it, and coming out fighting.

By building specialist units in NHS hospitals, Teenage Cancer Trust provides the best possible care and professional support for young people with cancer and their families throughout their cancer journey.

MandMDirect.com is pitched as the number one discount branded online store in the UK. The combination of catalogue and transactional website has proved very popular with consumers as MandMDirect.com continues to refresh its variety with over 3000 product lines available, and new items added each week.

And here we have some fabulous celebrities modelling the mac's themselves.

Amber Le Bon

Daniel Merriweather

Cool aren't they? I personally love the grey ones, they are designed by Christopher Kane. These mac's are ideal for festivals, are unisex, 100% PVC and can even be opened up and laid out as a ground sheet! They only cost £9.99 as I said, with all profits going to the charity.

Green Thing - Kate Moss Animated Video

Hi guys,

Kaydine over at Mission Media found my blog and emailed me about a project she's currently working on for Green Thing. Kaydine says, "Green Thing is a public service which inspires people to lead a greener life, using videos and creative stories. They have created an interactive animated video of Kate Moss to inspire people to stick with what they've got - in other words, recycle your clothes, don't always buy new ones. This is a great motto for fashion shoppers"!

Check out the video here:

Do any of you recycle your clothes, or modify them in any way? It's a good idea and a great way to get some one off customised pieces! So next time you go shopping, have a think about what is already lurking right at the back of your wardrobe!

Elf Studio Range & Sleek, Topshop & River Island Haul

Hi guys,

I have lots to talk about today. First things first, for those of you that follow me on Twitter, you will know that I made an order from the Elf (eyes, lips, face) website two nights ago, for some of the new Studio range items. This was all thanks to my lovely boyfriend who put it on his card for me, as I didn't have any cash in my account.

I got the complexion perfection powder compact, (as pictured above), this product is meant to even out the skin tone and absorb excess oil. The directions on the packaging state to "blend the powder over the entire face to brighten and even out the skin tone as well as neutralise any redness". Elf products are extremely inexpensive at normally £1.50, the Studio range however is priced slightly highter at £3.50 each, but still amazingly cheap.

Along with that, I got the Translucent Matifying Powder Compact. I have quite oily skin, so I was on the look out for a new powder. This product is meant to achieve flawless shine free skin, horrah for that!

The last compact I got was the warm bronzer. The Studio range contains three bronzers, warm, cool and golden. I'd heard that the cool wasn't so good, and the golden was more shimmery, so I opted for the warm. I contains four gorgeous shades, so I'm looking forward to trying it out for a bit of a sun kissed glow now that the sun seems to have come back.

Also from the Studio collection I got two brushes, both of which are eye brushes, and again were £3.50 each. One is the small precision brush and the other a contour brush. Both of which will be ideal for applying product to the outer corners and crease.

I then had a look at the regular range and got another two eye brushes, this time they were only £1.50. I got a blending brush and a smudge sponge. I will let you know how I got on with all the Elf products once I have had a chance to have a play with it all, which I am looking forward to.

Today I went shopping to pick up the new Sleek palette from Superdrug. Sleek palette's are always amazing quality for the price and when I heard that there was a limited edition palette being released today I just had to go and pick one up.

I present the Sleek Curious Palette:

A lovely mix of blues and purples, with a bit of a random yellow in there too, probably the only colour I won't use.

I then popped into Topshop as I had a top to take back and I picked up this one instead, its a lovely long top, so it can be worn on it's own with leggings, yay! And has the most gorgeous black sequin detailing on each shoulder. The top is oversized, so can be worn off the shoulder and for those of you interested, it was £28.

Next up I went into River Island, where I got two things, a racer back vest, as pictured below.

This vest has a lovely diamante chain detailing on the front at the neck line and it was £19.99. And lastly I got a pair of dark denim skinny jeans with a patch detailing at the knee(the picture does them no justice as they also have tiny dark paint splashes on them too). I haven't bought jeans in ages, and autumn/winter is sadly fast approaching, and they cost £44.99

Hope you all enjoyed this mixed up haul.
