Collection Series: MAC Eyeshadow

DSC09016

As promised in my last blog - my MAC eyeshadow collection post. Shamefully, I don't use nearly half of these eyeshadows. The problem is, I've found a colour that I truely love, and I wear it every single day with other colours to compliment it. Trouble is, it's a limited edition colour. So now I have to turn to Ebay. *sigh*

DSC09020

So here we have my neutral pallett. It was full up before, but I decided to take the "not so neutrals" out and put them into a quad. The majority of eyeshadows contained in this pallett are the ones I reach for the most out of all the MAC eyeshadows I have.

  • Dazzlelight;; neutral with silver/copper reflects.
  • Retrospek;; bare champagne shimmer.
  • All That Glitters;; midtone beige with gold reflects.
  • Style Snob;; Discontionued from the "Love That Look" collection;; dirty pink/brown with gold pearl.
  • Honey Lust;;bronzed dipped peach.
  • Woodwinked;; warm antiqued gold.
  • Satin Taupe;; taupe brown with silvery bronze.
  • Tempting;; Sinfully rich coco.
  • Sable;; muted golden plum brown with bronze shimmer.
  • Twinks;; dirty plum with gold reflects.

DSC09025

Here in this quad are the darker colours I own, the backened/smokey eye kind of colours. I very occassionally will go for a touch of Beauty Marked or Black Tied in a look, but these aren't used very often

  • Smoke & Diamonds;; Discontionued from the "Love That Look" collection;; dirty dark grey.
  • Top Knot;; Discontinued from the "Blonde, Brunette, Redhead" collection;; deep black purple with multi reflects.
  • Beauty Marked;; a deep blackened red with sparkle twighlight effect.
  • Black Tied;; a midnight black with a silver white sparkle.

DSC09027

  • Grand Entrance;; absolute favourite eyeshadow, EVERRR! Discontinued from the "Love That Look" collection;; cool apricot beige.
  • Ego;; Discontinued from the "Starflash" collection;; baby pink with frost shimmer. (I never use this.
  • Et Tu Bouquet?;; Discontinued from the "A Rose Romance" collection;; soft frosted pink.
  • Hush;; Soft peach duochrome with pink opalescent shimmer.
  • Femme Fi;; Discontinued from the "Neo Sci-fi" & "Blonde, Brunette, Redhead" collection;; frosty golden cream.

DSC09028

  • Love Stone;; Discontinued from the "Flashtronic" collection;; Mineralised plum.
  • Glamour Check;; Discontinued from the "Love That Look" collection;; reddish brown.
  • Falling Star;; rich reddish brown.
  • Star Violet;; earth touched, pinky brown plum fusion.
  • Bold & Brazen;; Discontinued from the "Love Lace" collection;; soft copper.

DSC09029

  • Cork;; muted golden brown.
  • Mulch;; intense golden reddish brown flecked with golden bronze shimmer.
  • Hypnotizing;; Discontinued from the "Love Lace" collection;; frosted grey mauve.

DSC09030

  • Satellite Dreams;; dirty deep plum with violet/blue reflects.

So that's it, that's my collection...and my top five?

Grand Entrance, Woodwinked, Sable, Twinks & Satin Taupe.

I hope you enjoyed my MAC collection and that it heped if you are looking into getting any eyeshadows yourselves.

January Favourites

Hello ladies,

I hope you are all ok. This is my first monthly favourites post and as it's a new year, I thought I'd start doing these, hope you enjoy.

1. St. Moriz Self Tanning Mouse

I am sooo over embracing the paleness of the winter months, and feel much healthier with a tan, and a lot more confident, thats just me. So last month I bought another two bottles of the gorgeous St. Moriz that was raved about in the community last summer, and for the past two weeks I have been enjoying being a bronzed beauty again. For anyone that hasn't tried this yet, where have you been?! But seriously, this is the best fake tan I have ever tried, and at a tiny fraction of the price of St. Tropez what have you got to lose? (it's £2.99 by the way).

2. Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser

Clean and clear has been in my life for many months now, but I have never religiously used it, so my new aim is to use this everyday & hopefully see it start working.

3. The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter

I love, love, love this! I have been using this all over my face at night time, and especially around my nose, chin and forehead as the cold weather is drying those parts of my face out, and then using the cleanser in the morning.

4. Models Own Nail Polish in Pink Punch

I know it's not summer yet, but how gorgeous is this? This week I've had it on my toes and I'm loving it! It looks more like a neon coral/orange and I can't wait to get my tootsies into some flip flops.

5, 6, 7 & 8. LIPS! (L-R) Body Shop Oui Oui Oui/Yes Yes Yes, Barry M Limited Edition Lip Gloss, Barry M Toffee Lip Gloss (2) & ELF Runway Pink Mineral Lipstick

I have started to use the Oui Oui Oui at night to moisturise my lips as they've been pretty dry recently, I just smother my lips in it and go to sleep and hope Jack doesn't kiss me in the night, haha!

The Barry M lipglosses are purely in here for the smell, they are truely amazing!

When I first recieved Runway Pink form ELF I really didn't think it would suit me, but to my surprise I love it and it means I'm going easy on my beloved Nude Rose by Mac which I'm nearly out of and it was limited edition *cries*

9, 10, 11 & 12. FACE. (L-R, T-B) MAC Sclupt & Shape in Bone Beige Emphasize, MAC By Candlelight MSF, MAC Well Dressed Blush & ELF Peachykeen Blush.

The sculpt and shape powder was a re-promote that came out with the DSquared collection last year. Ever since I've had it it's been my go-to for contouring, however I have hardly ever used the highlight, I find it too light.

By Candlelight was my first MSF, and I use it as a cheek highlight and sometimes on the brow bone, I've talked about it before, it's a really pretty colour, I heart it.

MAC Well Dressed should be and probably is in everybody's collection, I use it 90% of the time, it's a lovely, glowy pink blush.

I've never been that big on blush, but after getting Well Dressed, I became curious, so I thought I'd try a peach, ELF's Peechykeen is gorgeous, but I'm not too keen on the sparkle, so this is mainly used for nights out, when I'm extra bronzed up.

13, 14 & 15. Lastly, EYES. (L-R) MAC Hypnotizing, MAC Twinks & Max Factors False Lash Effect mascara in Black.

Hypnotizing is gorgeous! My fave eyeshadow of the moment, it's a really lovely plum brown and I'm enjoying it all over the lid with either Satin Taupe in the crease & outter corner, or...

Twinks. I have had Twinks in my collection since I started collecting MAC last year, but had never really so much as made a dent in it until January. It's an absolutely beautiful plum/bronze colour with gold reflects and is great on the outter corner.

Max Factors new false lash effect mascara is amazing. It has a really wide brush and gives me beautifully long spider-like lashes. I have always had long lashes, but have never received compliments on them before like I get all the time now. If I want a really dramatic look I use it with Maybelline Lash Stilleto which is my fave go-to mascara.

What did you enjoy in January girlies?

MAC Update

Hi guys,

So a few posts down I said that I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of the stuff from the new MAC collections, and I am happy to say I got the three most wanted items, but limited myself to just three. So I got By Candlelight MSF and Nurture shadestick from Warm & Cosy and I got Hypnotizing e/s from Love Lace, I'm not going to go into each one with swatches etc, because you've all seen it before, just thought I'd share my purchases.

I will say I absolutely love the colour of Nurture, but it is so similar to my skin tone, so when it's all over the lid, the only real effect I get from it is a bit of shimmer, so I might have to keep this one as a brow highlight, over than that I love it.

Warm & Cosy and Love Lace

I've just seen the new Warm & Cosy and Love Lace Collections by MAC at the MAC counter whilst out shopping with Jack, there's so much I want! It's al neutral honeys, nudes and beiges. I'm going to Westfield tomorrow with my friend Sarah, and I dunno if I'm going to be able to control myself!

Warm & Cosy

I want to get the MSF in By Candlelight (the pink one):

Nurture & Warm & Cosy Shadesticks (the two middle ones):

Love Lace

I picked up a new Pretty Please lipstick (left) as I had lost mine without realising it was a part of this collection:

The eyeshadows in this collection also looked gorgeous, so hopefully I'll be able to pick up a few. I'll show you all what I get when I get it, but in the meantime, what are you all lusting after in these collections? What have you already picked up?

Paris Essentials & A Mini MAC Haul

Hi ladies,

As many of you will know, for my birthday my boyfriend gave me a trip to Paris as a present, we go on the 29th and for the past month or so I've been collecting my so-called Paris essentials (not really essential, as I'm pretty sure I have quite enough clothes already that I could have taken, but any excuse to go shopping...) I'll add in all the prices incase anyone wants to ask about any of them.

I thought I'd share just a few of the things I have picked up so far:

Two Paris tops, as in my Mum's words when I saw them, I "had to have them". The one on the left is from Topshop (£16), it's a little bit cropped, hence the red v neck vest (£6 or 2 for £9) which I plan to wear underneath the I heart Paris top. And the other top is from Oasis (£22).

Slouchy beige off the shoulder jumper, ASOS (£20) and black "jeggings" are Oasis (£35)

Two jumper dresses (I get so bored of wearing jeans in the winter). The one on the left is from H&M (£19.99) and it is cable knit on the top and plain on the bottom and also comes in purple and white. The other dress is from Miss Selfridge (£38) and it has cut out detailing at the front, and a scoop neck at the back. Both of these will be great for the day time, with some thick black tights and a nice pair of boots.

Faux leather jacket with pleat detailing from Miss Selfridge (£45), will look great over this delicate layered style dress from French Connection, I got this dress back in September as a birthday present and have yet to wear it. I couldn't resist the little black sequin beret from River Island (£9.99) and will go perfectly with my new winter coat.

High boots, Primark (£19) and ankle boots, Next (£45)

::MAC HAUL::

This is just a recent MAC haul, only three items, I'm trying to be good.

Nude Rose lipstick from the new DSquared collection is a perfect daytime pink, and a 168 brush. Here's how the lipstick looks on me (no flash), I think it's a new fave. I'll post more about it and do a comparison in my next post.

And finally, I got a 4 pan pallette to take to Paris, so I don't have to take my 15 palette for fear if it getting smashed or anything.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend,  mine's been quiet, as we're saving money. We just went out to lunch yesterday and then had a nice dinner, bottle of wine and crisps and dips whilst watching X Factor. I'm starting to really like Stacey...
