Updated Jewellery Storage/Organisation

My jewellery collection is a bit out of control. I have so much of the stuff, that it was all just everywhere, I had stuff just thrown into drawers/baskets all mixed in together, so it was quite hard to know where anything was without searching through it all.

Here are some pictures of my jewellery storage before:

Main mirrored jewellery box that sits on my dressing table:

Earrings & a few of my rings.

Mish-mash of stuff, but mainly bracelets.

Necklaces.

Smaller mirrored box, which also sits on my dressing table:

This sort of became my overflow box, the stuff I was wearing on a day to day basis, and when I took it off at night, I would throw it in here.

Drawer in my dressing table which housed everything else:

So today I decided to get some decent storage so I can separate bracelets from necklaces for example. I just went to Poundland as they do an array of great storage and this is how it ended up after:

Two sets of drawers which are great for putting everything separately.

Drawer 1: Earrings

Drawer 2 & 3: Bracelets

Set of drawers 2. Drawer 1: Dainty necklaces

Drawer 2: Chunkier necklaces (I've just realised that I've forgotten to photograph the third drawer, but it's got beaded necklaces in).

Purple jewellery box houses my more expensive jewellery.

The smaller mirrored box now stores my more expensive watches:

My bangles have gone from being loose in the drawer to this big plastic storage box, which has to now live under my bed because I just haven't got any more room!

And finally, as I've shown you before, this is my cocktail ring storage:

So there we have it, I'm sorry for the picture heavy post. It still may look really cluttered to you, but trust me, it should be a lot easier now having all the bracelets together, all the bangles together and so on. I think it's the best I'm going to get it, because I have so much.

How do you store yours? Am I the only person with so many different storage items going on for jewellery?!

If you want me to go into any more detail about anything, or want to see a specific part of my collection, let me know.

The Hair Update

Before I get on to the hair, I'd like to say a massive thank you and hello to all my new subscribers *waves* it's lovely to see lots of new faces, and to say thank you, look out for a giveaway coming your way very soon.

As the majority of you will know, I was having my hair stripped and dyed lighter last Thursday. Although I love my brunette locks, I have just felt that throughout the winter, my hair was too dark, and it really washed me out, especially without make up and fake tan. So with summer round the corner, I decided it was time to bring a bit of the old blonde in me out, even if only a few scattered highlights.

As I have a hair dresser that comes to my house this painful 10 hour process was down in more comfortable surroundings.

So this is me that morning;;

Yes 10 hours worth of hair battering, but my hair was so dark, everything had to be done twice, and washed and dried inbetween, hense the time it took. So here I am, complete with sexy towel with the first lot of peroxide starting to strip the colour.

After 40 mins, the second lot of peroxide was applied, and a further 40 mins later, I looked like this, eeeeeeeeeeeek!! (And I can't believe I am posting this picture, because it's bloody awful!) But at least you can see it worked, the peroxide turned my hair bright orange!

Then it was on to the actual hair dye. I had a 7.13 and a 7 mixed together, which I now think was too light, I wanted more of a 6 base. Again, my hair had to have dye on it twice, and finally once washed and blow dried, I had half a head of highlights put through it. So 10 hours later, 5 washes and blow drys and several hair colours, this is what I ended up with;;

I'm still really unsure how I feel about this colour. I've always gone for quite bold looks with my hair and this is just a bit, dare I say it, "blah". At first I thought it was the base colour I didn't like, but now I think it might be the blonde-ness in the highlights. Everyone says I'll get used to it, and they all really like it, but I don't feel like me, as strange as it may sound. And it's certianly no Jennifer Aniston is it?!
I'm going to try and hold out for another few weeks, just because I feel bad about the money spent on it, but I'm just craving going slightly darker.

Bringing Back The (Semi) Blonde In Me

Hello ladies,

I don't think many of you will know, but I have only been a brunette since November 2008. I used to be very, erm...blonde before:

However, I really fancied a change, and went over to the darkside, going for a golden brown. Ever since then it seems to have got darker and darker:

Now I feel like it's too dark when I don't wear fake tan, and I have to use more bronzer, so on Thursday I am going through the long long process of having the colour completely stripped out, my hair dresser predicts that I will have to have it stripped twice because it's so dark. I want something lighter, while I won't be going back to peroxide blonde, I am having highlights put in, but I am going for a 6 base all over. The end product should be in the same sort of family as these lovely ladies, or at least I hope so!

Whatd'ya think?
