I'm back

Hi guys,

Egypt was pretty amazing. The boy and I had a fabulous time, and we're very sad to be home. The weather was hot, hot, hot as we expected. We took the plunge and made the long journey to Cairo and saw the pyramids, how we could have gone to Egypt and not seen them is beyond me. When I get a chance I'll post up a few of the photographs for you all to have a nose.

As for duty free...hmmm I didn't quite live up to my promise, I only bought one thing, I would have liked to have bought more, but just didn't really get the chance. So I got ANOTHER bottle of my favourite perfume, Marc Jacobs Daisy, this is my 4th bottle since November, ooops. I think maybe I should start to be a bit more sparing with the stuff.

Since I've been back I've treated myself to quite a bit of make up, so as soon as it's all delivered I'll do a haul for you. For now though, I better go because it's my first day back at work today, which is just no fun at all.

Outfit of The Day

Hello everyone,

I thought I'd do an outfit of the day post for you all, as I enjoy seeing you guys do them, and I've been cheeky and squeezed two in for you, one from yesterday, and one showing what I look like today.

Yesterday I wore:
Top - £35 - Oasis
Jeans - £39.99 - River Island

And for my make up, I had a play with my new beautyUK pallet number 1. I used the lilac shown, and the colour was gorgeous, really really good quality for the bargain price of £2.95.

Added to that I used a myface.cosmetics trio that I was lucky enough to be sent when I was working at Reveal magazine. It's called an eyetouch and the colours are called purple haze. I used the middle colour, or the "bling tone" as it's called on the packaging, all over the lid on top of the lilac, then I used the darkest colour in the trio in the outter third, and blended, blended, blended. To finish off the look I used a tiny bit of the third colour on my lower lash line and lashings of Loreal Voluminous mascara.

Face:
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in 02 Rose Ivory
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid in 004 Light Porcelain
Natural Collection Bronzing Powder in Golden Glow
Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud

Lips:
Mac Creme d'Nude

As for today, I'm wearing:

Shirt dress - £14.99 - H&M
Black vest top - £3.99 - H&M
Tan belt - £4 - Primark
Tan flip flops - £12 - New Look

And my make up is the same, except I have a brown colour from the pallet on and a bit of No. 7 Liplicious lip gloss in Angel Cake on top of the Creme d'Nude.

Hope you enjoyed my first outfit of the day post!

Mini Haul & Bronzer Update

Hi all,

Thanks to all my new followers and welcome :)

I just thought I'd post a really quick haul for some things that I've picked up recently. My Mum went out on Friday and bought me a few treats for my holiday, she got me some beige linen trousers from River Island along with two sets of pink pearl earings, ANDDDD these lovely sandals from Office. I love, love, love them and now that the sun is finally shining, I can't wait to get my feet into them.

I went out today to change a pair of flip flops that my boyfriend got in Westfield, London last week, because he needs a bigger size, unfortunately, they didn't have them locally, so I thought I'd pop into the shopping centre and have a browse.

I went into Claires Accessories and bought some simple silver hooped earings and the other bits I got were from Superdrug. I got two of the Beauty UK eyeshadow pallets as I've seen them mentioned on various peoples blogs recently and the feedback has been quite good. I got number 1 and number 3. They each have 10 eyeshadows in them and cost £2.99 each, bargain.  Pallet number 1 has pastel shades and number 3 has bolder shades which all have silver flecks of glitter in them.

I also got a Collection 2000 nail polish in 232 Pink Passion. I have been desperately trying to find a nice bubblegum pink polish in the past week, and have ended up with several pinks, but none of them being the shade I wanted them to be. So I'm hoping this is going to be the one. Lastly, I picked up a GOSH 134 Darling lipstick.

In the last entry, I said that I'd update you on the two bronzers I got - the Barry M and the Prestige. I've been using them for a few days now and I have to say I haven't been overly impressed with the Prestige in St. Tropez. I put it on one day and my face just looked dirty. I really wasn't expecting that, because to look at it, it's a beautiful bronze colour. However, I really want it to be a great product, so I'm going to stick with it, play around with it, and try and figure out a way to make it work for me. The Barry M bronzer has been used very sparingly because I have very pale skin, and assumed it would be far too dark for me.

I have been using a very small amount to contour my face, and I have cheekbones! So I am pretty pleased with the Barry M at the moment, and am looking forward to experimenting a bit more with it next week when I am in Egypt and have a bit of colour.

Thats pretty much all my updates for now, I have a few pictures from this weekend that I may post up later.
