The difference is, instead of just using a pink acrylic, they put a white acrylic on the top (where your french tip would be) and a pink at the bottom, this obviously prevents the chipping of the white polish or air brush. And I really rate it, it is worth paying the extra to have nails that go the two weeks without being all chipped and horrible.
However, yesterday, I fancied a change, I felt like having a colour put on my nails instead of the usual pink and white. So I got them to put the normal pink acrylic on, and paint them. This was the outcome...

They are shorter than what I would normally have or what I would have liked, but the guy in the salon was a bit clipper happy, and once they're short, there's not a lot you can do. My boyfriends first comment when he saw them was "they're really short". But having a colour on my nails, it probably is best to have them shorter, where as if I had white tips, I'd want them longer.
Anyway, it's change, and of course I can change the colour of them myself, with my many polishes I showed you in my collection post.
I'll probably get bored and go straight back to white tips, but this is them for now.
I would love to get my nails done...it would be that "me" time I would kill for right now! I think they look great.
ReplyDeleteI get the pink and white too...lucky for me, I pay a little bit less as I have someone come round my house to do them. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI usually start off with the normal nails and then usually a week or two in, I paint them myself. Lol
Love that colour, looks really nice :) xx
I used to have acrylic nails back in the day but it's something I haven't had for years! I painted my own nails french the other week for a change and I really liked it.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your nails this way though Rach, makes a lovely summery change :)
