Whilst out for a walk in the gorgeous sunshine we had been having the other day I popped into my local department store; Morleys. I am unaware if and where Morleys have other branches, so I'm not sure if any of you will be able to get hold of any of these items.

I didn't intentionally go in to look at beauty products, as Morley's is more of a home store. But whilst wondering round I saw a "bargin bin" filled with reduced beauty products and to my delight, the majority of the items were from Soap and Glory.

Here are the products/items I've been loving for July...

Marc Jacobs: Daisy Eau So Fresh Perfume

Daisy is my absolute favourite perfume, so you can imagine my excitement everytime they bring out a new one, I love collecting them all and the pretty bottles.

This bottle was a present from my parents when they went to the Carribean this summer they picked this up in Duty Free. I believe it is in the biggest size they do. It's a very light, delicate floral scent, perfect for a summers day.

Tanning products

With this weather we are having at the moment in the UK, it's hard to know whether to tn or not. One minute I'm baring my pins, the next I'm back in my opaques. This is where instant tan comes in - if ever I haven't tanned and I wake up to glorious sunshine, this is a quick and easy solution.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer in Medium Matte has been my go to instant tan for years. I dread to think how many bottles of the stuff I have worked my way through. I tend to use this for nights out the most. It gives a good, even colour.

Last week I picked up this new product from L'Oreal, their Waterproof Glam Bronze Spray Foundation for legs. Obviously it's easy to apply with it being a spray, but it did go everywhere all over my bathroom! The instructions say that for a deep tan there is no need to rub it in, which I don't really agree with, I do think it does need rubbing in, or it can seem rather patchy. However, once rubbed in, this gives a lovely colour and a smooth appearance to the legs (as if I had tights on).

Sleek Storm Palette

Sleek palettes are always really good quality, and the Storm palette is my favourite out of the three I own, I have been using it a lot recently.

YSL Rouge Volupte No. 2 Nude Beige

Ever since I have owned this lipstick, the rest of my collection hasn't seen the light of day. It's a gorgeous pink shade and very moisturising and creamy, and I am fast running out of this *boo hoo*

MAC Mineralise Skin Finish Natural: Medium

I finally got this last week after umming and ahhing over it for months , and I have been using it to set my foundation across my T-Zone to keep oil at bay.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

This has fast become my favourite foundation. After using Revlon Colorstay for a while, I now find it too heavy and it can go cakey quite easily.

Healthy Mix is a Medium coverage, that is buildable without any caking - and it smells pretty amazing too!

Benefit High Beam

I got this trial size free with Glamour magazine and it is an amazing highlight, I will be investing in the full size when this runs out.

Bourjois Bronzer

This has been my go-to bronzer throughout July. I use it to contour my face as I have it in the darker shade. It gives my complexion the sunkissed glow without the flecks of chunky glitter.

Pure Coconut Oil

I have been applying coconut oil to the ends of my hair whenever it is wet. It softens and glosses the ends as well as smelling uh-mazing.

And finally, I got an iPhone 4 so this month has been spent getting to grips with it, downloading apps, adding songs and buying cute covers.

It's funny that as I write this, the shops all have their Autumn stock in and Summer is long gone. As it's now that we are finally seeing some much needed sunshine, (and I'm hoping August will be a nice month), that I have collated a few of the items I did buy this year with the intent of wearing them all summer long - but the truth is, I've hardly had the chance to wear any of it, and it is sitting in my wardrobes all tags-a-hanging.

Life Update.

I can't believe it's been nearly a month since I did a blog post... Life flies by so fast it's unreal.

There is a reason behind the lack of love on I heart that. My laptop decided it didn't like going on the internet anymore and just stopped working. I think it caught a virus the poor thing.

So for the past week I've been backing up/going through all my files, deleting un needed shizzle. And I had to go back to the old school and back up all my stuff to CD's as I don't have a flash drive. I really should invest.

Anyway, so along with technology problems, work, weekends away, birthdays, weddings and life in general I hadn't had the chance to get it all sorted until this week.

So with apologies out of the way I thought I'd get back into the swing of things by sharing a few pictures of recent goings on with me..

Firstly, I have had all my hair chopped off into a long bob, I fancied something different, plus the ends were dead.

My best friend turned 24 and we celebrated in style with a champagne breakfast, a trip to the salon for some treatments and then I bought her tickets to see Legally Blonde at the theatre.

There was then a trip to Cardiff for a night out to celebrate Nicola and our gorgeous friend Hayley's birthdays together.

And finally, I have just got back from a long weekend in Bournemouth where one of my dear friends, Claire got married yesterday.

Now that my life update is out of the way, normal blogging can resume.

YSL Rouge Volupte: Number 1, Nude Beige

I finally caved!

I purchased my first YSL lipstick. Of course I wanted to start with the famous Rouge Volupte range. After toying for months about the idea of buying Lingerie Pink as it seemed like the "it" colour to have, I went and looked at it in Debenhams, and wasn't too sure it suited my skin tone.

After more research online, my mind was set on number two "Sensual Silk", but then randomly when it came to ordering, I changed my mind at the last minute and put number one "Nude Beige" into my basket. And I am so glad I did.

Nude Beige is a lot pinker than I expected (this is a good thing) and I fear Sensual Silk would have been too nude.

I believe I have found the happy medium between the two afore mentioned lippies, and I am happy, happy, happy!

The lipstick is just beautiful, inside and out.

After resisting this range for so long, due to their high price range, I am glad I finally decided to treat myself. After all whats the halm in wanting the beautiful things in life?!

My new love...

Everybody...Meet the new loves in my life...

If you follow me on Twitter, you may remember me Tweet-Piccing these babies a few weeks ago on the day that I bought them, because I was terribly excited about them.

These, my friends are my brand new most favourit-est shoes in the whole entire world!

They are by Kurt Geiger and I originally fell in love with them back at the end of Feb.

Nicola and I had just been to the Witch Skincare Event in Soho and afterwards we hot-footed it to Harrods so that I could get my Mum's birthday present. After the pressie had been purchased it would have been rude not to have a browse.

First stop, shoe department. I spied these bad boys from a mile off and instantly fell in love. For weeks after I dropped massive hints to my boyfriend that I would like them for my birthday (yeah, my birthday isn't until September, but still). I even took my Mum to Kurt Geiger and made a point of pointing them out.

Then randomly one day a couple of weeks ago, Jack and I were out shopping (well I actually needed to take a few things back) and I went and had a look at them once more, this time deciding to try them on. And that was it, as soon as they were on my feet, I HAD to have them. They were meant to be mine.

So I just said to the sales assistant, "I'll take them". I was physically shaking as she rung them up on the till and I was entering my pin. Jack's words to me were, "you're buzzing aren't you?"

It was the most extravagant, random, spur of the moment purchase I have ever made (other than gifts for other people), but I had not long received my first pay cheque from my new job, and I thought, why not? I earned it. So that is what I did.

The shoes have had two outings already, and I love them, I also love the attention they attract - I let the shoes do the walking ;)

I couple of weeks ago I was contacted and asked if I would like to review any of the Umberto Giannini mini travel sized products.

Middleton Wedding Fashion Day Through to Night

As I said in my last post, the world was in anticipation of what Kate Middleton was going to wear on her big day, but we cannot forget the other Middleton ladies, who looked stunning throughout.

Kate's second dress is a strapless white satin gazar evening dress with a circle skirt and diamante embroidered detail round the waist.

Pippa Middleton's slinky white cowl-neck dress showed off her slender figure, while the cap sleeves kept it youthful. The back of the dress was studded with tiny silk-covered buttons.

Later, for the evening meal, she changed into a long emerald green sleeveless dress with a jewelled embellishment on the front and a plunging neckline.

Kate's mother Carole started the day in powder blue later changing into a black capped sleeve dress, cut low at the front and back, with a tiered skirt.

Here Comes the McQueen

Yesterday Kate Middleton married her Prince Charming in a magnificent wedding gown designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.

I must admit that high up on the list of reasons that I was glad to have the day off work and watch the Royal Wedding was because I was absolutely dying to see what Kate was going to wear, as I'm sure were half the population.

The new Duchess of Cambridge did not disapoint. Wearing a stunning white lace and satin Alexander McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton, Kate was the picture of perfection as she walked down the ailse to meet her Prince.

The bride was heavily involved in designing the dress - working closely with Burton to ensure it would be a combination of both the traditional and the modern, yet in keeping with the Alexander Lee McQueen vision and attention to detail.

We can't help but think that the elegant lace appliqué bodice echo's that of the iconicly stylish Grace Kelly's own wedding dress.

Both gowns shared a high-waisted, full-skirted silhouette with a long, dramatic train, and were worn with the sheerest of veils and diamond tiaras.

Of the dress Sarah Burton has been quoted in saying,"I am delighted that the dress represents the best of British craftsmanship".

"Alexander McQueen's designs are all about bringing contrasts together to create startling and beautiful clothes and I hope that by marrying traditional fabrics and lacework, with a modern structure and design we have created a beautiful dress for Catherine on her wedding day."

The Royal Wedding

I didn't think it would be right to go without mentioning the Royal Wedding. I know we've all seen tonnes of posts already and it's been all over the television, and I'm sure it still will be for days to come.

But what a truely momentous day it was. I am happy to have been around to watch part of history in the making. Everything was magical and Kate a picture of absolute perfection.

So congrats to the future King of England and his beautiful Duchess Kate Middleton.

Now I will leave you with the prayer that the happy couple wrote for the ceremony;;

Poppy King for Boots No. 7

Last week I was sent a brand new lipgloss to review. The lipgloss in question is an exciting new collaboration between lip stick Queen Poppy King and Boots Number 7. The new range features 7 shades especially developed by Poppy King to celebrate the magic of lipstick: History, Power, Glamour, Seduction, Intrigue, Confidence and Allure.

Poppy King is an Australian entrepreneur. She is best known for her company Poppy Industries and the range of cosmetics available at Poppy Stores in Australia, during the 1990s. Poppy is renowned for creating a daring range of lip products born from her love affair with lipstick and designed to make every woman feel special.

"It was in danger of going the way of the Sony Walkman," Poppy King says of the fate of lipstick, the once essential cosmetic that's spent the last decade in the shadows of sparkly gloss. But with opaque shades of orange and fuchsia all the rage on the Fall runways, a bolder approach is back in favor, and who better to lead the charge than this Aussie native and former Estée Lauder executive? Now she's collaborated with No7 to create a gorgeous range of must-have lipsticks and glosses.

I received one of the lipglosses in number 5 "Intrigue" which is described as a "pinkish nude".

For this look I designed a subtle pinkish nude that is incredibly flattering without being fussy. The right lip colour will light up your skin and hair giving you a stunning glow - Intrigue is the colour of natural lips, but bolder and brighter".

And here's what I say;;;

Although I feel this colour isn't best suited for my skin tone, there is no denying that the formula is highly pigmented, long lasting, non sticky and shiny.

All the shades in the collection are really wearable and it's nice to see a sensible brand such as No. 7 colaborating with such a quirky brand which is proven in the choice of packaging they have produced for the collection. It's colourful and fun.

All lipsticks and lipglosses are onsale now in Boots stores or online and retail at £12 and £11 respectively.

Long time no blog!

I've been a really bad blogger I know, but I just haven't really been inspired with anything to blog about recently.

However, something pretty exciting DID happen last weekend. Nicola and I went to see the Katy Perry California Dreams tour at Wembley Arena London, and I thought it would be an excuse to share a few pictures from the day with my lovely readers :)

The show was absolutely awesome, the best production I have ever seen (and I've been to a lot of concerts) and Katy Perry is just adorable. The stage was filled with pink, sweets and glitter...what more could a girl ask for?!

Fashion: Banishing Winter From My Wardrobe

It's official, last Friday I banished Winter from my wardrobe, packing away my thick, winter jumpers into storage in favour of colourful florals and pretty Summer dresses. Maybe a bit premature - the typical Brit in me see's a bit of sunshine and thinks "Summer is here", when in reality we all know how unpredictable the British weather can be. (And now, almost a week later, we're back to cold and miserable.)

I was bored and sick of looking at boring, drab colours in my wardrobe, so I switched it all round. This doesn't mean I will be doning my summer dresses and flip flops just yet, although I have a great desire to, I will wait until it is a more appropriate time of year. However, in this transitional period, I will no longer be wearing jumpers (not that I really wear them much in winter anyway - I am more of a top and cardigan kinda gal), instead I will be bringing a bit of Spring into my Winter wardrobe. The key to wearing Spring items when it's still a bit chilly outside is of course, layering. Cardigans, blazers, tights and leggings are your new best friends.

Collection Series: MAC Eyeshadow

As promised in my last blog - my MAC eyeshadow collection post. Shamefully, I don't use nearly half of these eyeshadows. The problem is, I've found a colour that I truely love, and I wear it every single day with other colours to compliment it. Trouble is, it's a limited edition colour. So now I have to turn to Ebay. *sigh*

So here we have my neutral pallett. It was full up before, but I decided to take the "not so neutrals" out and put them into a quad. The majority of eyeshadows contained in this pallett are the ones I reach for the most out of all the MAC eyeshadows I have.

Collection Series: Mammoth Make Up Collection

If you remember a while back I started doing some "Collection Series" posts on my blog. We had 'lipstick' and 'nail varnish', and now I am back with a full blown mammoth make up collection post.

Today boredom struck as I don't start my new job until Monday, so I decided to have a tidy/clean up/clear out of my make up. Whilst doing this I thought "why don't I take some photos and do a collection post?" So that my lovlies is what I did.

My make up is stored in my dressing table. I'm lucky enough to have 6 drawers in my dressing table that are all pretty roomy. While I dedicate two of these drawers to make up, they also store my nail polishes, hair products and tools, accessories and a token "crap" drawer.

So here is my first drawer. This is home to all my facial products such as moisturisers, primers, foundations, concealers, pressed powders, loose powders, bronzers, blushers and highlighters.

And on to the second drawer in my dressing table. Here I store, well everything else - Eyeshadow, Mascara's, Pencils, Lipsticks, Lip Glosses, Lip Balms.

I won't show you the break down of lipsticks, because you can see them here in my collection post. Nor will I show you mascara's - too boring, lip glosses and eye pencils - too many.

But here, in all its glory is my eyeshadow collection.

Palettes are MAC, Dior, Beauty UK & Sleek

And I keep everything else that I never use, such as pigments, old pallettes, eye lashes etc in this make up case. I'm sure some of it will come in handy some day!

It's only when I look at all my make up laid out like this I realise how much I have (personally I mean...this might not be a lot to some people), it is deceiving when it's all shoved in a drawer.

Oh My, Starry Eyed Surprise

When my darling Mother went out at the crack of dawn this morning on her day off I didn't really think anything of it. She's off on holiday on Thursday, and I assumed she was running round doing the last minute bits and bobs (after all, she only booked it last Thursday!)

When she arrived home, she said to me "I got you something" and handed me a cute little Cath Kidston travel pass holder, with my new job I will no longer be able to drive in to work (boo!) and will be getting the London Underground eveyday, and will need a travel card and all that jazz. So I thought it was really cute of her.

And then she said, "I got you something else as well", and she handed me a huge Bentalls (a department store near us) bag, I peeked inside and actually squeeled!

For getting the new job she bought me this absolutely gorgeous Michael Kors tote bag in snake print.

It is the most perfect size for day to day and for commuting, and it can go over my shoulder which is another great bonus, because the majority of my bags are just held on my arm. A Collective Fashion Haul...

I was sitting here on this bright sunny day wondering what I could blog about, when I realised that I hadn't done a haul for a while. To be honest I was trying to steer clear of them, because I didn't want my blog to be about hauls, hauls, hauls. But as I haven't done one in a few months, I thought why not do a collective haul of some of the things I have picked up in the last month or so.

A collective haul once in a while is better than one a week, right?

On Saturday 26th February I was privallaged to attend the Witch Skincare Bloggers Event in Soho, London. The event, aswell as being a chance for us bloggers to meet and mingle with one another, was to showcase their new line in anti-blemish make up, a celebration of "skindependance".

The range has been designed to let you lead the life you want to lead without worrying about the effects it will have on your skin, as explained to us at the beginning of the event by one of the team, Helen.

Why Witch Hazel?

Taken from the Witch site;

Celebrity make-up artist Nat Von Zee was on hand at the event to give a demonstration of all the new products, tips on the range and make up in general and of course answer any questions that we had.

We were then set fee to lose ourselves in the various different goings on, from the treatment area, where you could have your make up done, manicures, get a massage, have raki done on you. There was also a palm reader on hand (do excuse the pun), knitting lessons, cookie decoration, Wii and a Poker masterclass..which I won! Not bad for my first time.

And on the naughtier side;

At the end of the event we were treated to a lesson in Burlesque and of course a nice goody bag, which I will be delving into in a later post.

After all the fun and games Nicola and I skipped home with our goody bags in hand and smiles on our faces from our lovely afternoon learning all about the Witch brand and the new products.

Umberto Giannini: 3 for £10 Haul

Umberto Giannini hair products are on offer at Boots for an amazing 3 for £10 so I popped in today to see what I could pick up. I knew I wanted a mask of some sort because my hair is really horrible and dry at the moment.

I got the Indulgent Beauty Moisture Mask, which retails at £5.61. It's a deep treatment for dry, damaged hair. It contains shea butters to replenish the hair. I also got the Grunge Glamour Tousled Salt Spray, which was also £5.61. I've been wanting to pick up a salt spray for a while now, and think it will be an easy alternative to using straighteners on my hair throughout the summer and whilst I am on holiday. And finally I picked up a heat protectant, which is self explainatory really and would have been £4.99 on it's own.

So the offer is worth checking out if you are looking to stock up on your hair products and saving a bit of money along the way!

Our Valentines Weekender

I realise I am incredibly late with this post, and had decided that I just wasn't going to put it up, but then, I felt in a blogging mood, and thought, "what the heck I'll wack it up anyway".

As the heading of this post suggests I am talking about Valentines Day...well weekend in our case. On the Saturday night Jack had decided he was going to cook for me as we hadn't seen each other much that week, but it just so happened it did coinside with Valentines Weekend. Not that I minded this, it meant two celebrations.

So off we trotted to M&S to see what their "two can dine" offer had to, ummm offer. We had salmon to start, seabass for main and chocolate pud for afters as well, of course as their Valentines box of chocolates and bottle of Cava.

On Valentines Day itself, I made Valentines cupcakes and we had drinks and presents at mine, then headed off to our local Village for more drinks, and then finally dinner.

Get The Look: Rihanna

Massivly excited that I managed to get tickets for Rihanna's added date to her Loud Tour in November at the O2 this week. A week that saw us being treated to a one woman show when she performed a the Brit Awards on Tuesday night. (Lucky I got the tickets before this event, as I'm sure after that, they will have all sold out.)

The pop singer who picked up the award for Best International Female first stepped out on to the red carpet in a blue, purple and yellow Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. Whilst performing her hits 'Only Girl in the World', 'S&M' and 'Whats My Name' there were three different costume changes consisting of a racy black number, a strapless, rose covered Oscar de la Renta gown and a red dress with floral detailing.

How amazing does she look in the Oscar de la Renta gown?

Soap & Glory The Fab Pore Facial Peel

For some people it's dry, flaky skin, for others it's breakouts on their chin, and then there is oily T-zones, just a few of the problem areas we get on our faces. As well as having a few of the arforementioned problems now and again, I would say that the bain of my facial problem areas are my pores, it's something that I have constantly, unlike the other problems which may occur sporadically.

I have visible pores and clogged pores across both my cheeks and nose. Up until now I have been using Benefits the Porefessional on top of my foundation, which is brilliant by the way. It does hide my pores, but the problem lies when I put blush onto the apples of the cheeks. Even with the Porefessional underneath, the blush yet again brings attention to the problem area I had just concealed.

Easy answer? Don't wear blush. Yes, this is an option, but I like blush, I think it's fun and in the last six months I have really got into it. So if I can wear it, I will try.

When flicking through this weeks issue of Look Magazine last night one of their beauty features caught my eye.

"Brightening At-Home Facial Peels - Good to glow in seconds."

The "Look Recommends" product was Soap and Glory's The Fab Pore Facial Peel. It had been rated 5 out of 5 stars. And the description and mini review really interested me.

Blackheads gone after one use? I had to try this. At the reasonable price of £7.15, why not?

Today I popped down to Boots and picked it up.

Directions:

Rub a grape-sized dollop into your face and massage in circles until the green beads have all dissolved. (Those with a high tendency for clogging should concentrate on the t-zone, chin or areas with large open pores.) Leave on for five minutes for a quick refresher, or fifteen for a real deep-cleaning do-it-yourself kind of facial. Rinse well, and follow with moisturizer. Repeat 2 - 3 times weekly.

What's in this peel that works:

Fomes Officinalis Extract: A mushroom extract that helps tighten pores. Salicylic Acid: Which loosens up the dead cells that contribute to pore clogging. Kaolin: That's 'cosmetic' for clay. It sops up extra oil on your skin and smooths your skins surface. Vitamins E & C: Antioxidants. Just because you're oily doesn't mean you're not aging.

Soap and Glory The Fab Pore Facial Peel is available at Boots for£7.15 for 50g of product.

I am excited to try this product out, I think I will give it its first go tonight before bed, and will be posting an update and review once I've used it for a while.

Review: No. 7 Exquisite Curl Mascara

I was lucky enough to be sent the brand new Boots No. 7 Exquisite Curl Mascara over the weekend. I got my hands on it late Sunday night when I got home from a weekend away in Wales. It was beautifully packaged as below.

The aptly named Exquisite Curl Mascara has a curved brush, tailored to enhance curl and volume. The unique formula with curl-setting polymer helps keep lashes lifted throughout the day. The result? It curls lashes by up to 90 degrees. Eyes look more open and lashes extended from root to tip - get ready to va va voom!

Available in Black and Brown/Black.

What Lisa Eldridge, No. 7 make up artist and creative director says;

"This mascara gives a lift to the lashes for a wide open-eyed look. The bend in the brush helps to manipulate the lashes into place and get a good coating at the roots."

This is my eye without mascara before application;

As you can see both my top and bottom lashes look super long.

I have used this mascara twice now and I have found that the wand really separates the lashes and makes them form a natural curve.

The mascara itself is not too "liquid-y", I have problems with mascara when the formula is quite runny, those being that because I have quite long lashes the tips rub under my eyebrows and leave black marks throughout the day. So far, I have not experienced this with Exquisite Curl Mascara.

I didn't find it to give me too much volume, but the fabulous lengthening and curve it gave my lashes make for a great flirty, girly day time look.

For evening I might choose to use this with a volumising mascara along with liquid eyeliner for a more dramatic effect.

The curved applicator wand is a winner allowing you to get right into the corners and I didn't experience any clumping at all.

The Sales & Sales Haul

I refused to go to the sales the whole week after Christmas. I wasn't feeling routing through what could be conceived as jumble, contending with crazed shoppers and long ques, not to mention trying to park my brum brum. I had checked the sales out online on Boxing Day and I was terribly disappointed. The sales were full of crap. New Look were still trying to sell off old summer stock I remember from last year and the rest of it was rubbish I'd never seen in the shop/online before.

So I waited for the Christmas frenzy to die down and had another Quality Street.

When I did eventually venture out it wasn't intentionally even to look at the sales as "all the good stuff will be gone now" was drummed into my brain. My main aim was to check out the new seasons stock.

However, most places didn't have a lot of Spring stock in as of yet and was mostly still sales. Usually I find the best type of places for sales and massive reductions, and where I get most sale items are Warehouse and Oasis. Both are fairly high end highstreet stores with their full price stock being slightly above the average prices of Topshop and River Island for example.

I love both shops but purchases from them are only sporadically, until the sales that is, when I find their reductions absolutely amazing. Although I did make a few purchases from these two shops, I found that a lot of the items had hardly anything taken off them.

For example, a leather jacket I've been eyeing up for months had a measly £15 off. And still weeks later, it hasn't had any further reductions.

I'm not sure what has happened this year, but the sales weren't up to their normal standards.

Having said that, here are the few sale purchases I did manage to make and they were the few items I found that did have a fair bit of money off them.

Hello Petals,

I hope you are all doing well in the run up to Christmas and aren't too cold with all this freeeeezing weather we have had.

On Friday I got my hair cut and coloured. Having my hair done is one of my favourite things. I feel pampered to the max. I had brown and a few scattered red/copper lowlights and blonde highlights as well as a nice little trim.

One of those great little Primark Finds

You know every now and then Primark do an item that you just know will sell out of you don't buy it there ad then? Well today, I think I got one of those items.

I went in to return something, and once I'd stood in the Customer Services que for what seemed an eternity, why does every Primark take so long? I was walking out, when I walked past the shoes and spotted these babies.

They weren't there when I popped in on Monday after work, so must be new in, so after routing through several size 5's I finally found a 6 and tried them on. I heart them. The perfect mix of smart-casual with the worker boot style and heel combined. I adore the colour, and wear a lot of other colours from this family, they go great with browns, camels, beiges, creams, blacks.

The price? £18. When I saw the price I was a bit hesitant. Why is it in Primark when you see a pair of shoes over £12 you automatically think, "they're a bit pricey"?

I just hope they are going to be comfy.

I Updated my Jewellery Organisation...again

Firstly, I'd like to say I realise I am a bad blogger and my updates are less frequent these days, however I plan to get on top of it and get some updates out there at least weekly.

Some of you may remember that a while ago I did a post about jewellery storage, for those of you that don't, you can find it here.

Well a few nights ago, at around 2am, when I really should have been sleeping in preparation for my alarm going off at 7.30 am, I decided to move all my jewellery round.

I have so much more space in my room, as sadly my Mr moved out last Friday, we have lived together for the last 16 months, and nothing bad happened, we're still together, we didn't fight, it's just he was temporally living with me until a room became available in another house, which it has. It was sad times, and we really miss living together already, it's so hard to adapt after waking up to him every day for so long!

Anyway, I now have so much more space now that all his belongings are no longer here. When we initially moved in together I had a massive, and I mean massive clear out to make room in my wardrobes/chest of drawers etc for him, which was very hard for me to do...I have so much stuff.

So now with a few shelves free, which have had his clothes resting on them for so long, I decided that it would be a much better way for me to organise my costume jewellery.

Up until the wee small hours of Wednesday morning, my costume/junk jewellery was stored in two mini sets of drawers in a drawer in my dressing table, like so...

This method is all well and good as far as neatness is concerned (from the outside anyway), but once inside, it's hard to see everything, and you have to go routing through to find something you want to wear, exhibit A:

I'm not the type of person that likes having things out on table tops, ie. jewellery stands, make up, make up brushes etc. I like it all to be away and tidy, so the fact I can have all this out on display so that it's easy to see but it's all inside my wardrobe pleases me...I could never have jewellery stands full of necklaces on my dressing table, I feel like it's messy, it's a weird OCD I have, so please forgive me.

My expensive jewellery is stored in a mirror jewellery box that sits on my dressing table. My new jewellery organisation makes me happy, and now I have a whole big drawer in my dressing table empty...Hmmm what to fill it with?!

GHD's For Sale

I was about to put my GHD's on Ebay, but then I thought I would open it up to people on my blog first. Here we have a GHD slim straightener, in box complete with styling guides, product information, gaurentee card, all in perfect condition and excellent working order. Even box is still pristine.

I am only selling because I got a new pair as a present, I was keeping these as back ups, but it just seems silly, and a they are still working great, they may as well go to a loving home.

I was nervous when I saw the colour of Toffee Fat Balm, and was thinking, 'this is so dark, I wish I had got a lighter colour', but when reading the ever so cute ang girly packaging that is so typical of Eyeko, my mind was eased a tad.

Candy-liscious nude shade with light reflecting particles.

It came out a lot lighter than I had first anticipated when I saw the colour in the tube, and the light reflecting particles make it look really glossy once on the lips.

The only thing I will say is that I found it a bit tricky to apply, as I have really thin lips, and the fat balm is so, well fat. But then at least that means you get a lot of product, so it's not really a problem, and any excess that goes on the skin around my lips can easily be wiped off.

I can't wait to try the other shades, especially strawberry, which is Eyeko's best seller and the minty one too.

:: Loud Mouth Liptastik ::

Yet again, this colour scared me, I don't really do bright colours on my lips, it's either a nude or a light pink, the bravest I've got is MAC's Viva Glam GaGa.

However, once on my lips, I did quite like it, it's different, and I think with quite natural eyes and face this colour would look absolutely beautiful.

The Liptastik went on like an absolute dream, it was silky soft and smells delicious. Really easy and quick to apply. I left it on as I write this blog, and my lips feel totally moisturised, something which is really important, especially at this time of year.

The packaging is adorable with it's sleek gunmetal tube and baby pink writing and I'd say you get about half a tubes worth of product.

I don't think I'd try the Liptastik in the red colour, but would be really happy if they brought out some other shades.

Suprise From Aussie

A few days ago, I was having a nose through Twitter, as ya do, and I noticed a few people saying thank you to the Aussie folks. I wondered what it was all about, and then I saw an Aussie reply that read, "glad you received the parcle". Que me getting stupidly excited wondring what could be on its way to me!

Later in the day much to my shock and excitment, I opened the door to the DHL man carrying this hugeeee parcle, I managed to hold out a little longer and take a few snaps before I opened it.

The Secret Revealed...My New Jewellery Line & A Giveaway

Eyeko Bloggers Event

Evening Ladies,

I realise this is terrilby late, but do excuse me as I've been having a lot of internet problems on my new laptop.

So as the majority of you will know by now because it's already been all over blogger and twitter, Eyeko held a bloggers event on Saturday 2nd October at Wenlock and Essex in Islington, London.

I met up earlier in the afternoon with the lovely Lauren from Lauren's Dressing Room (who I've known for many years but had never actually met until the event) for a spot of lunch, a few drinks and a good old gossip.

We were so busy nagging we didn't notice the time, so had to gulp our lunch down and jump on the tube one stop to angel to head to the event.

When we arrived at the event we were greeted by some lovely Eyeko staff, a private room, with a glowing dancefloor, mirrored ceiling, gorgeous cupcakes and yummy cocktails.

Throughout the night there were several goings on, there were make-up artists and hair stylists on standby to beautify us, you could have your nails done, and get you tarot read, sample the up and coming new Eyeko products, take part in competitions, and meet and chat to the Eyeko creators Nina and Max.

In the final part of my birthday weekender I went to see Dirty Dancing on Monday night. I got tickets from my parents for my birthday for myself, Mum, my best friend, Nicola and my cousin Fiona.

It was absolutely brilliant, and if you haven't seen it, and are a fan of the film I urge you to go and see it. I can't reccommend it enough, the atmosphere was truely electric and as soon as it finished I wanted to watch it all over again!

After my make over day in London on Friday, I got home and shortly after my two lovely Welsh friends who we met in Jamaica arrived, they got the coach down from Cardiff to come and stay for the weekend, so we had some mega embracing, a few glasses of wine, and settled down for the Big Brother Final and some catching up.

Saturday was spend shopping and going for luncheon with the girlies, before coming home to get ready for a night out on the town.

The majority of people came over to my house first, and here we all are looking all dressed up and pretty...

BIRTHDAY WEEKENDER: Make Over & Photoshoot

Hello lovely's,

There has been a lack of posts recently, so do forgive me. There has been a very good reason for this, as some of you know it was my birthday on Sunday, I turned the ripe old age of 24 and I celebrated in style, and just havent stopped ever since. Today I finally have a day to myself, so I thought I would get a few blogs in for you.

On Thursday night my boyfriend told me that as a surprise I was going to have a make over and photoshoot on the Friday. I had a frenzied panic, "ahhh what clothes am I going to take" feeling nervous and up until about 2am Xen-Tanning myself.

Friday arrived and I took my big red bag full of clothes and hot footed it to the tube station heading for my Oxford Circus destination.

I won't state the name of the salon, but when I got there I found out the girl who was supposed to be doing my hair had called in sick that day, so now I had another guy doing my hair, as well as doing 3 other peoples all at the same time, so I felt it wasn't very personal. Also, my boyfriend had paid a higher price so that I could have unlimited drinks all day. Well I was never offered a single drink.

After my hair was pinned to set, I had my make over, which I cannot fault, my MUA was lovely and we had a good old chin wag. After my make up was applied, I was sent to sit in the downstairs waiting room, where I was left for about 45 mins, still in my gown, before I was called up again to have my hair finished.

Once the hair was done, I finally had my photoshoot, which wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. After the photoshoot, I waited about an hour to view my photographs, and I was the last one there.

For the price I would imagine that my boyfriend would have paid for this experience, I think it was absolutely shoddy on the salons behalf. I am treated with much more hair when I get my hair done by my own hair dresser and she comes to my house. To not even offer my a cup of tea when I got there, I mean come on! Isn't that general politeness?

I thought the day would be an absolute pamper day, where I would be looked after, but it just didn't feel like that, and all the waiting around actually made me stressed.

Having said all this, I did get some great photographs, and needless to say this experience was a one off.

I am very grateful to my boyfriend for getting me this for my birthday, it's just such a shame I didn't get the best out of it, but here's the outcome, and I think the pictures do outweigh the bad experience.

Eyeko: Get In The Pink

Hello my lovelies,

I just wanted to do a really quick post about the two new limited edition nail polishes by Eyeko that I was sent yesterday. I'll keep this short and sweet, because I am aware that a lot of bloggers have already posted about these, and the press release above says it all.

The two polishes are called Punk Polish and Chi Chi Polish. Punk Polish is actually a re-promote and I already have it in my collection in the older packaging. I saw it on someones blog ages ago and I had to go out and buy it, it gives the perfect bright pink nails, so I am thrilled to have a back up.

Chi Chi is a gorgeous glitzy pink colour and I am very excited to try it.

Wardrobe Series: My Wardrobes

One of my most requested posts is always about my clothes, wardrobe and bedroom. So I am going to be doing a series of wardrobe posts. I thought the best way to start would be to take a sneak peek inside my wardrobes, and look at the way I store my clothes, shoes, accessories etc. Then once you have seen that, several posts will follow, the first one being, my fave pieces from my wardrobe.

So here goes, this is my double wardrobe...

Inside the first wardrobe...

Inside is organised into sections, so that I know where everything is, from left to right on the top rail we have...

Boyfriends shirts, my jackets/blazers, hoodies, cardigans, jumpers, sweaters, shirts, playsuits, daytime dresses.

And on the bottom rail we have trousers, skirts and shorts with shoes sitting on the bottom.

The second wardrobe...

Here are my going out/evening dresses and a basket with shoes in underneath.

On the shelves we have boyfriends tops, magazine files full of old Uni stuff, important documents etc, boyfriends baskets of socks and underware, my jeans and sweat pants, and boyfriends Timberlands and jeans.

On the top shelf I have some books and a storage box with various things in.

Over the one of the doors I have hooks and some of my jackets go here.

And just a close up of my Audrey Hepburn picture on my top shelf.

As well as my wardrobes, I also store clothes in a chest of drawers and in under the bed storage boxes. My chest of drawers has five large drawers, the first holds my socks, the second belongs to the boy, third is my leggings which are all pretty boring.

Here's whats in the fourth drawer...

My T-shirts, on the left we have every day tee's either plain, and on the right are my evening tee's.

Finally the fith drawer holds my vests...

So we have patterned vests, plain black and white vests in the middle and then plain coloured vests on the right.

I know, I know, I'm a Monica!
